And the trend of childish, arrogant PvPer's continues.

(They're not all bad..but the majority of the ones I've met seemed to be. )

Out of curiosity..what did you actually do at the arena?

I would think that Warrants a submission to Arena Net.

Frustration is something that happens but this is just beligerent and immature.

Mean time use the ignore feature.

Could you please refrain from mentioning the users character name?

Telling everyone about X is only hurting the community, I for one want to build a community. People like those are annoying, but instead of publicizing X, you can report him/her to ArenaNet or you can change districts and Ignore him/her.

Yea I'm surprised you tolerated it for so long.

And yea, definitely submit that. There's no call for such rudeness for that is ultimately a game and hell, people make mistakes. That's how we learn.

My answer to him would be..

"You're only picking on me because I'm a girl!"

I guarantee that would have changed his opinion of you in a second.

I'm sorry..but it's true.

Ignore him though, you did nothing wrong..but obviously that guy has always been a '1337 pkz0r' and never made any mistakes whatsoever.

I half-way agree with this line of thinking. No good can come from everyone just posting names of people that did something to annoy them. Particularly because it's all too easy for punks to make up any kind of crap they want about what is actually a decent person.

But if you have screen shots proving an offence, particularly a pretty bad one, posting the evidence helps decent people to know who to avoid. Just my $0.02 More important is: is showing the name of the offender against board rules? I don't remember.

I'd rather know what players to avoid than not, but that's just me. *Shrug.*

Picking the spammers and harrassers out in this game is like picking a needle out of a needlestack. From all my time in the arena's, I've lost faith in 95% of this games community to be cool people, as I've run into a lot of jack offs.

My favorite are the people who you beat in the arena, and while your looking at your screen reading "Flawless victory" they pm you calling you a pathetic n00b over and over because you broke the winning streak of the team of 4 Wa/mos. (If you can't tell this happened to me today. My team flawlessed them, and one guy started pming me calling me a n00b. I guess my pvp healer has an easy to remember name, cuz later on in the day he started pming me again. My healer, I Eat Cardboard, was totally dismayed. )

But, back to the original point, try not to include the gamers name, IMO. It can lead to more harassment, and even though he harassed first, 2 wrongs don't make a right. Also since, and I'm not implying you did this at all don't think I am, something like this could be photoshopped by a malicious player just to get someone harassed and greifed.

Yeah this just causes problems to post the persons name, and the ignore feature is a marvelous thing. I've learned that from playing Furcadia... where it is needed more than you would think it should...

I'd hope that if I ever said anything like this, which I wouldn't at all, that someone would not post my name onto a board. I'd fear getting all sorts of hate whispers or something of the like, no matter what my character was, from all sorts of people.

Perhaps they should have your bank account details or cc number and any infraction or harrasment that would not be tolerated in a real world would cost you 5 dollars which could then go to the upkeep of the server etc. Easy for me and most people as we don't behave like that.

As a capable female gamer, this attitude doesn't sit right with me. I wouldn't say something like this any more than I would use my gender to try and get free items. :P

I understand that, but it would still be interesting to see his reaction.

The battle.net are starting to come over. I like Beta much better. It was a much better community. Much more helpful. I try to help noobs as much a possible, but the arrogant ones I avoid and will not team up with.

Jus my thoughts on naming and shaming. I think if you have the evidence to back it up then shame away. Think of real life and the local theif, you dont think ahh well hes jus stole from me but i wont tell everyone because i dont wish to shame him??? Doesnt make sense. You should grab em by the balls and swing them around your head so everyone knows who that dirty little theif is and i think the same should go for abusive offencive people. Either they agree they were out of order and correct their ways or boot them out the community.

Ofcourse in rl you would just punch them in the nose and see how much abuse they come out with then but thats another thing, they are proberly angels around people in real life cos they know if they say it to the wrong person its proberly a trip to hospital
